Prior to that, she served in top human resources roles with JCJ Architecture, The Hanover Insurance Group, Sun Life Financial, and The Hartford, where she spent almost two decades in numerous human resources roles.
Nicole Lutomski joined the Washington State Department of Commerce in 2025 as Chief of Staff. In this role, she provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to support the agency’s mission of strengthening communities and growing Washington’s economy. Her previous role, from 2008, was Chief Executive of Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, where she led a major transformation programme to provide a world leading health and wellbeing environment for children and young people.
